Abstract
A popular-science book by a physician of the Yessentuki Clinic of the Pyatigorsk State Research Institute of Balneology and Physiotherapy, summarising the institute’s long-term research and the author’s own clinical experience. It records specific mineral water compositions and drinking regimens used for diabetes mellitus in Soviet resort practice of the 1980s. It is not primary research: no sample sizes, control groups or statistics are reported.
